Not serious injury told to rest lower back area for 1-2 weeks. Should be able to return to full capacity after that time.

Victim was in between 2 cribs he had built. He noticed a piece of draw slate that needed pulled down. Using a rock bar, he pulled the 3 foot by 2 foot by 3 inch piece of draw rock. Unfortunately, the rock slid down the bar, pinching his right forearm against the crib. The sharp rock cut his skin and bent back his thumb.

His hand was resting on the edge of the scoop bucket when the 1'x1'x2" thick piece of slate fell. He was not operating scoop at the time.
