Employee was replacing pin in the 360 Komatsu Track Hoe using the sledge hammer to drive the pin. A metal shard broke off the pin and struck employee in the inner leg approx. 2" above the knee causing a 1 1/2 laceration.

EMPLOYEE BENT OVER A PIECE OF METAL THAT WAS TENFEET LONG, EIGHT INCHES HIGH, 1/4 INCH THICK AND SAYS HIS BACK BEGAN TO HURT. ANOTHER EMPLOYEE WAS ASSISTING HIM.
