Employee tripped over a rock on a footpath that leads to the highwall. Employee injured shoulder as EE fell to the ground.

Sometime before 06/24/2024 a trespasser entered property and fell off the active highwall. Body was discovered at ~4:20PM by two EEs. MSHA hotline called at 4:27PM along with police and rescue. Sheriff's office has ruled it an accident.

The injured employee was working with a co-worker performing maintenance on a conveyor belt. The guard to the bend pulley was partially removed and the employee was using an adjustable wrench to try to remove a grease fitting when he received a laceration/avulsion injury to his right hand.

EES WERE INSTALLING TOGGLE BEAM IN HTE JAW CRUSHER, THE BEAM HAD BEEN INSTALLED AND ADJUSTMENTS WERE BEING MADE. THE BEAM IS HELD IN PLACE BY HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS. THE BEAM STOPPED MOVING AND E E WAS LOOKING TO SEE IF CLEARANCE WAS AVAILABLE. HE HAD HIS HAND ON THE CYLINDER WHEN THE BACK END BLEW APART SNAPPING THE CYLINDER FORWARD AND PINCHING HIS LEFT INDEX FINGER CRUSHING THE END
