Employee was grinding the edges of a 4 inch by 4 inch piece of metal using a stand grinder when the metal got lodged between the grinding stone and the safety guard pinching EE's finger between them. EE sustained a broken bone and the loss of the finger nail on right hand.

Employee was moving a heavy duty jack stand when EE lost EE's balance and fell to the concrete floor in the shop. The jack stand landed on EE's right hand causing a laceration that required 7 stitches to close.
