While walking alongside a berm in a field, employee slipped and fell. While reaching out to break her fall, her hand landed on a sharp edged rock, lacerating the pad of her palm, requiring stitches to close.

EE WAS HOLDING A WRENCH ON A BOLT ON ONE SIDE OF A FLOAT BRACKET, OTHER EE WAS HOLDING A WRENCH ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BRACKET. OTHER EE PULLED TO TRY TO LOOSEN THE BOLT, WHEN IT PULLED HIS WRENCH AROUND, PINCHING HIS RIGHT INDEX FINGER BETWEEN THE WRENCH AND THE BRACKET.

AREA IS VERY ROCKY. EMPLOYEE WAS STANDING ON PLYWOOD TO HOLD IT DOWN WHILE HE REMOVED NAILS FROM IT. THE PLYWOOD SLIPPED AND EMPLOYEE FELL TO THE GROUND. EE DID NOT FEEL IT NECESSARY TO GO TO THE DOCTOR WHEN THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED AND DID NOT REQUEST TO GO UNTIL 1/2/02.
