The employee was re-routing a cable on the port side of the dredge when wind caused the dredge to shift, resulting in movement of the port side swing sheave, which struck the employee in the face. As a result, the employee sustained a facial laceration and a broken jaw.

Normal conditions for a June day. Individual climbed a new, wet, sand pile from the base. Feet got stuck in the sand and individual strained knee when tried to pull out feet. Sand pile was at a normal angle of repose with no unusual conditions.
