North Pyramid Stone LLC · Fall from ladders

A block was ready to be extracted. Three of the miners had moved to the top of the ledge. The flagman had remained on an open area of the working ledge. While instructing the crane operator to begin lifting block it made unexpected shift. At that time EE began to go down the ladder to an open ledge, approximately 6ft below. EE jumped off, landed on EE's feet, and fractured leg.

NARRATIVE NOT PROVIDED. PER PHONE CALL TO OPERATOR, EE WAS ATTEMPTING TO FREE A SLAB THAT HAD JUST BEEN CUT USING A PLUG DRILL WHEN A 25-30 LB. ROCK FELL ON HIS TOE.
